Zoobic Safari

Zoobic Safari is one of the latest additions in Subic Bay Freeport Zone. It is the only tiger safari here in the Philippines. And yes, this zoo is not the traditional set up wherein each animals is inside their own cages. It is really a brilliant idea to bring this kind of concept here in our country since it creates a more interactive experience giving the visitors the chance to feed, play, and hug those animals (even the wild ones).
The Zoobic Safari is a two-hour tour experience. The tour will be by group. It starts with a picture-taking with the aetas. Pictures are being sold for about P299/copy. It seems mandatory but you have the option to buy it or not.

And obviously, I didn’t buy the picture. hehe

Each group will be asked to gather for a briefing; do’s and dont’s will be discussed so make sure you’re gonna listen to it.

Like this very important ‘not-to-do!’ You might trigger the tigers go “Raaaaaaar!!!”

Next stop is the Animal Show which is really an eyecandy not just for the kids but for the adults as well. Promise, I did enjoy it!
(I am still trying to retrieve the pictures. Please forgive me for not posting it here.)
Right after that, the tour proper starts. ‘Tour Proper’ coz you’re group will really keep on moving. Just like what I’ve mentioned earlier, it is a different zoo experience. To the Serpentarium, Petting Zoo..hmmm…I saw a lot of iguanas, lizards, snakes, turtles, deer, mini-horses, sheep, lion, monkeys, ostrich, etc. I forgot the other parts but the highlight of the tour is the Tiger Safari.

Caution:the following pictures in the Serpentarium may be dangerous to your health.

This one’s really big. When we went inside the serpentarium, the snake is already aggressive like that. Seems like it’s lunch time. Eeee…

The other casts…

I am not really sure what type of pigs are these. But I really don’t know why they keep on running. They seem so fragile and scared with people.

“Oh, Come here!my cute little baby boys!”

If by chance, you were able to visit the Zoobic Safari, can you tell what this is. This one really captured me, it’s so sweet.

Moving on, the ideal time to go here would be around 8 or 9 am so there won’t be a lot of people and you’ll really have time to just enjoy and finish the tour before your stomach starts growling. The food in their resto there is not that good. Kinda expensive for another tasteless lunch. But it tastes foodie-like enough when your hungry, so maybe I can give 2 stars out of five on that. I recommend that you bring your own food.

You can ride a Victory Liner going to Olongapo City. In the city, find this yellow jeepneys to go to SBMA.
