Want to rediscover the North? Here’s the good news everyone!!!

The North Philippines Visitor’s Bureau (NPVB), in cooperation with Manila North Tollways Corporation and Victory Liner, will be holding the much-awaited Lakbay Norte 3.

Lakbay Norte 3 is a 9-day Media Tour of North Philippines wherein a bus load of media participants from broadsheet, TV, travel magazines, and blogs come together to produce over 100 articles and features about North and Central Luzon.

For this year, six (6) lucky bloggers will have the chance to join the Lakbay Norte 3: Outdoor Adventures of the North scheduled on January 22 – 30, 2012. This is an all-expense-paid Northern Luzon familiarization tour – Yes, that means that transportation around North Luzon from Manila and back, food, lodging, and activities included in the itinerary, are all for FREE. 🙂

How to Join?
The blogger should be at least 18 yrs old and resident of the Philippines. The blog should at least be 1 year old at the start of the contest proper. Previous participants of Lakbay Norte are ineligible.

So, what are you waiting for? Download the application form now and post an article on your blog about the Lakbay Norte 3 Blogger Contest. Completed application form, links to your 5 best travel-related blog posts, and screenshot of Google Analytics should be sent to info@northphilippines.org on or before October 31, 2011. Submissions will be judged equally based on the following criteria:

~ Blogging experience and accomplishments (based on the submitted blog URLs)
~ Knowledge about Tourism, Adventure, and Sports Tourism
~ Blog Content
~ Enthusiasm

Twenty (20) finalists will be chosen on November 5, 2011; each finalist will make a 500-word-article on “Why I want to Join Lakbay Norte 3” to be submitted on or before November 14, 2011. Articles will be posted by NPVB as a facebook note on the North Philippines Facebook Page from November 16 to December 18, 2011.

The 6 winners will be announced on December 23, 2011.
~ 2 bloggers w/ the most number of Facebook likes on their Lakbay Norte entries
~ 2 bloggers w/ the best blog content and blog consistency
~ 2 bloggers as chosen by NPVB’s Sponsors
