For the past couple of weeks now, Manila has been suffering from tremendous heat. Seemed like fans and airconditioners wont do any good to fight the scorching heat of the sun. Imagine, HOT+SUMMER+CLIMATE CHANGE, oh no, we’re definitely doomed!

Pinoy Travel Bloggers – Kaiz, Ivan, Chyng, Byron, Gay, Darwin and Me 🙂
So, together with the other travel bloggers, we headed off to Baguio last May 5 (oops! my apologies if this post is quite late for about 3 weeks).
Azalea Residences Baguio is set in Leonard Wood Road just across the entrance of Teacher’s Camp. It is strategically located in the heart of your favorite spots in Baguio City: Camp John Hay, Burnham Park, Session Road, The Mansion, Baguio Botanical Garden, the Diplomat Hotel, Baguio Cathedral, and Philippine Military Academy.
It’s very sophisticated in a way. Agree?
Check the following summary of Azalea Residences Baguio rates:
Getting to Know Azalea
Azalea Residences Baguio is a 4-star 99 all-suite vacation residence composed of 46 de luxe suites, 17 one-bedroom suites, 33 two-bedroom suites, and 3 three-bedroom suites. Each suite definitely exhibits incomparable first rate experience of grandeur and luxury that members of the family will surely enjoy. Suites have its own kitchen and dining area, balcony, living area with collapsible sofa-bed, private toilet and bath, safety deposit boxes, iPod docks, and free WIFI connection.
The kitchenette is one thing that this new hotel can boast of. It’s equipped with microwave oven, electric stove, a refrigerator, coffee maker, dining wares and kitchen utensils.
The Room
They’re all spacious and each room has its own 32-inch LCD cable television. That’s it!
I think that’s enough. 🙂
For the beds, yes, they’re all queen-sized- and totally big and wide enough; however, there’s something strange with it. It is not that hard however you can still feel the springs and plastic of the mattress that will make one feel uncomfortable while sleeping unless too tired to notice it. Good thing the comforter and other linens are too soft it compensates a little.
The Bathroom
The bathroom speaks of modernity and minimalism. It’s squeaky clean, and got everything a bathroom should have such as bath tub, hot and cold shower, and toiletries.
Definitely, the bathroom looks perfect. However, one needs extra patience because the water pressure is quite weak and cold. Also, the heater/shower is not that user-friendly, it would take time for one to make it warm on a desired level.

Reminder: Allot some ample time for your shower/bath, the water is not consistently flowing.
Don’t forget to bring your patience with you, it’s quite irritating.
The Food
Tradisyon is the in-house restaurant of Azalea Residences Baguio. It offers traditional local dishes. Don’t miss their crunchy “Espadang Bangus” for breakfast. Sure, you’ll love it!
On the other hand, 8 Degrees is the Cafe lounge of Azalea. Though, I haven’t tried to dine and drink here, the atmosphere looks so cozy.
Overall, though expensive, Azalea Residences can be included in the “Where to Stay in Baguio List”. Promise.
Important Things to Remember aka Friendly Tips:
* The refrigerators don’t have anything basic inside like a bottle of water, coke, etc. You need to request or much better if you will just buy outside so it’s much cheaper.
* Since, there is a kitchen, you can opt to cook your own food. You can go to the market and store the food inside the fridge. Don’t worry you can use it with no extra fee.
* Do not forget to buy a dish washing soap; though, each rooms got its own kitchenette, the hotel doesn’t provide a free one. You can buy a 25ml liquid dishwashing for P120.00. Too expensive? Hmmm.. It’s beautifully wrapped though. 😛
* You need to go to the reception area to follow-up your request to make up the room. Though, each room got its own “Make up Room” door knob signage. I think, you have to reiterate and emphasize, “Make up my room. Please, please please.”
