Palawan is one of the dream destinations for many Filipinos. I, for one, had been planning to visit this paradise for quite some time now. I’d been buying plane tickets for this dream paradise but circumstances happen that I had to cancel trips. Finally, this year, I got to spend the last 4 days of my 25th year in Palawan… and all I can say is, “it’s aweeesooome”.

How to Get There:
To get to Palawan, one can take a direct flight to Puerto Princesa City. Check the following airlines for your references of schedules and rates: Cebu Pacific, Zest Air, Philippine Airlines, or AirPhil Express. The flight is approximately around an hour and 15 minutes.

Friendly Tip: For budget travelers, it is recommended to plan your trip to Puerto Princesa ahead of time, so you can check for upcoming seat sales.

Reminder: This itinerary does not include the usual island hopping in Honda Bay since bumming around Sabang Beach is enough for me.

*Meet and greet some crocs at the Crocodile Farm.

*Let the wetland of Palawan be your playground.

*Of course, explore the New 7 Wonders of the World – the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park aka Puerto Princesa Underground River(PPUR).

The formation of those limestone is definitely beyond wonderful.
Witnessing this God’s gift of nature made me so speechless the whole tour.

It’s not as perfect as Calaguas, but there’s something with Sabang that won my heart.

Total is about Php4139.00, since I allotted Php5000.00 for this trip alone, the rest of my budget went to the following(which are optional): a henna tattoo I got in Sabang(Php100), videoke tokens when I had a little concert in a beer garden nearby, a cup of Sabang’s Halo-halo(php30.00), Sheridan’s Pineapple Shake(Php70.00).Palawan won my heart.
