Keep Calm and Keribels: The 2013 Travel Plans & Predictions

It’s the start of the year and once again I’ve watched some series of interviews of Madam Auring. I’ve been so excited for her 2013 Predictions however, she laid out her cards and started fortune-telling with her back-up dancers; it left me speechless though. Yeah, I know we are the one who control our lives but admit it (especially if you’re an 80’s or 90’s baby), you grew up watching Zenaida Zeva’s Horoscope segment in a morning show; waiting for your lucky color and your lucky number too.

As a traveler, I’ve been watching the night sky from different places, trying to count and wish upon some shooting stars; I have been wondering if there’s any truth behind astrology and carrot reading, oops, I mean tarot reading. This year, I do not know where to go, what to read, and who to rely on (even Simisimi don’t know the answer), so I stand in front of the mirror and asked myself, “What’s for me this 2013?”

My travel motto for this year: “Keep Calm and Keribels”

To ripen the growing Madam Auring/Zenaida Zeva/Simisimi/PapaJack powers in me, I laid out my carrot cards and ate some tikoy… Harumanumanum… Pak! Pak! Boom!

Cancer
Relationships: Hmmm… Stop watching John Lloyd movies, go out and have fun.
Health: Check your weight, if the arrow goes beyond 55 kg, panic. Dance “Oppa Gangnam Style” everyday for 2 months to reduce weight. Stay away from the refrigerator.
Wealth: Stop biting your nails. You have extra money now to buy imported chocolates.

Lucky Color: Yellow
Lucky Song: Paminsan-minsan by Richard Reynoso
– Popoy

I did some palm reading too. Look.

“Work Hard. Travel Harder. Don’t Stop.”

For this year, I hope for more smiles, more mountains, more beaches & island hopping, and more adventures. I hope I can visit Ifugao again this year. I hope to see the Taal Crater Lake. This year, I want to climb more mountains too – Mount Manalmon, Mount Daguldol, Mount Maculot, and Pico de Loro. I wish I can survive the spelunking in Sagada. I hope I can buy an airline ticket to Angkor Wat too. And of course, what I really want to do this year is to go back to my most favorite island, Calaguas.

This year, I am also planning to launch some shirt designs with travel theme. I hope you guys will like it.

Want some fortune-telling and/or carrot reading? Give me some tikoy. =)

This is my entry for Pinoy Travel Bloggers’ Blog Carnival 2013

@ fyhmd,”Keribels” is a pinoy slang which means that something is doable, possible or can be handled. It may act as a noun or a verb. So if someone's response is “Keribels”, that means, 'it's okay, I can do it' or 'okay, sure, I can handle it'.

@ blogger RAIN,Speaking of Tikoy, which brand is the best? Got to try Eng Bee Tin's Buko Pandan Tikoy, and it was just my first time to eat tikoy. Found it okay, not really that 'awkward' as I imagined. 😛
