Must-Visit Museums in Manila

Admit it, whenever one is being asked of “What to See” or “Where to Go” in Manila, museums would take the bottom part of the list. I don’t know but even I, myself, find it boring whenever I hear the word “Museum”. Maybe, I fear that I’ll have information overload, that I’ll get suffocated; that museums are just for intelligent people… hmmm… okay enough of that.

Again, this 14-year-old-brother-of-mine is having some addiction recently. And guess what? He’s been enjoying and getting passionate about museums. At first, it was quite weird for me, but hey, he made me realize that museums now are different. The glow in his eyes every time he talks about that little stuff he saw in a museum makes me want to see it myself.

So let me share you some cool must-visits museums around Manila. Yes, they’re just around the metro, so, no need to think about any Manila airfares, long bus rides, or whatever. (And yes they’re not your ordinary “Please-Fall-in-Line-Silence-Only-Please-Hands-at-Your-Back-Experience”).

Maybe you can also include the Metropolitan Museum of Art at the back of the BSP Complex along Roxas Boulevard. I am not sure how much they charge now. It was still free when we went there, which was a long, long time ago. They also have a money museum there.
